You've heard good things about yoga, but you're reluctant to try it. Or maybe you have tried it a few times... Maybe you liked it, maybe it wasn't the right style or temperature. Perhaps you've been practicing for years but your practice feels stale or you've reached a plateau and need specific help in order to progress. Here's my question to you: What do you want? Flexibility? Core strength? Peace of mind? Stress reduction? Harmony in your life and relationships? It's all here, waiting for you to show up and live it, breathe it, do it, be it. What are you waiting for? Life is precious. Live now.

Yoga is a psychospiritual practice that has been handed down through the centuries for at least 5000 years. It is one of six main classical Indian philosophies. Most Westerners are most familiar with some form of hatha yoga—the yoga of physical effort, which seeks to unite the fragmented aspects of the human condition through physical exercises, specialized breathing techniques and meditation. My approach to yoga is a form of hatha yoga as inspired by the late yoga master Sri T. Krishnamacharya, who taught that yoga be utilized to enhance the quality of our lives. He never insisted on one particular technique, but rather emphasized that techniques must be evolved to suit the needs of the individual at the given moment. Several popular methods were formed around his teachings that persist today— Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar yoga and Viniyoga. DharmaYoga is the synthesis of these great traditions, honoring each for their distinct contribution and specialized purpose in the world, while extracting the essential components that create a rich, expressive and authentic yoga practice.

Yoga is just a four-letter word that describes conscious living.

The word Dharma means 'way of working', and DharmaYoga is my way of practicing and teaching yoga. It is active, athletic, and yet deeply restorative. It involves strength training, core conditioning and yes, stretching and relaxation. My classes have been described as 'intense', 'nurturing', challenging', 'peaceful', hard' and 'healing', 'rad'... and these are descriptions of the same class by different people. You can get whatever you want and need from a regular yoga practice. I'm here to help you achieve that.
